Why our reading program works?
Our Approach
We believe that the end goal of reading is to achieve enjoyment, stress fee, understanding and new learning- but in order to get there students need a strong foundation in phonemic awareness, phonics skills, decoding, encoding, fluency and vocabulary.
During our sessions we will conduct an evaluation to determine the start point. We will continue building foundation utilizing the Science of Reading which explicitly teach phonics and other foundational skills to achieve the ultimate reading goal- fluency and comprehension.

Tutoring Sessions can range from 45 minutes to 1 hour long. Due to the tight schedule and high demand, the bus can not attend everyone's home location. Therefore, the bus will be parked at a safe, central location at least twice a week, where th educational sessions will take place. Ms. V will communicate availability, and a schedule wil
Tutoring Sessions can range from 45 minutes to 1 hour long. Due to the tight schedule and high demand, the bus can not attend everyone's home location. Ms. V will communicate availability, and a schedule will be set according to the family's needs. Sessions are billed monthly with no exceptions. Sessions will either be one-on-one or with a matching pair.

This service includes one-on-one parent coaching. Ms. V will always be available to have conversations as recommendations for improvement to the child's education, behavior management, and physiological component with the student and family. Ms. V will always be available to have conversations as recommendations for improvement to the child's education, behavior management, and physiological component with the student and family. Homeschoolers get the chance to participate in our community monthly field trips as well as on our bi-weekly Nature days.
The learning at our mini pods (2-3 kids max) can range from basic educational needs like focusing on Reading, Writing, and math components. To add Spanish mini sessions as well as to provide a full access curriculum.
The schedule can vary. We try to meet with our homeschoolers from twice a week to at least three times a week. Each meeting is 2 hours long. The meeting location will either be in front of the students's home or at another student's home, it depends if you are joining a previously created mini pod.

Evaluation
New families must participate in an online evaluation. We would like to get to know the student's personality, educational needs, and more as well as the family dynamics, and get to answer as many questions as possible. We will also provide advice and quality information to target the child's education.
Online evaluation can last up to 90 minutes.
