Step Up for Students

This scholarship tailors children with unique abilities who may have different needs when it comes to their education. Providing an opportunity to thrive and learn in an environment that supports their success.

The FES-UA enables families to personalize the education of their students by directing funds to where they’re needed most. The funds can be used for a combination of programs and approved expenses including therapists, specialists, curriculum, private school, a college savings account, and more. 

 The scholarship is open to any K-12 Florida residents not enrolled in full-time private or public school more like "homeschool" regardless of household income can access the Personalized Education Program (PEP) through the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program. This scholarship provides an education savings account (ESA) to fund the educational needs of eligible students. Students must be at least age 5 by September 1st of the school year they wish to enroll.  
 

This scholarship applies to students who struggle early in their academic career in reading or math.  The program benefits VPK and K-5 public school students by providing families with an education savings account (ESA). Families can use these ESAs to pay for programs, providers, and materials designed to boost reading and math skills. Scholarship award amount varies based on the school year for which the student is awarded.
